Buying cheap ply for flooring...Where?
where in Melb is the best place to buy cheap or second hand ply suitable for floorboarding over? i have been quoted $10m2. that works out to be quite a bit just for an underlay type thing. or is that just expected?

re: previous posting, taking all your advice and forgoing the direct stick to concrete flooring. infact finding the right removable fasteners for the old concrete flooring was the big hinder. flakey stuff that didnt like too much in the way of dyna, ramset fasteners (wood splitting nightmare), bolts etc and too many holes to fill after. bricks too light for second handies with warps.

Not sure about ply but if you take brand new yellow tongue for example, the sheets are 3.6 x 0.9m ... so 3.24Sqm ... and you can get that at Bunnings for about $30, so that's 9.25/Sqm. In other words I would have thought you could get it cheaper than $10.
Maybe ply is more expensive, would Yellow tongue work for your appliocation?

Yellow tongue is structural chipbaord flooring. It's 19mm thick and has a platic yellow tongue and wax coating, so its weatherproof for 3 months.
Not sure if it would suit you application, you can get a thinner version of it too.
