Does White Shellac go off?

I purchase a bottle of white Shellac yesterday and after getting it home noticed it had a 10/05 use by date on it. Should I return it?

Going by the our fav author's book yes its no good after UBD, could make it into sealer.

Thanks Harry, I just noticed that on the bottle. It says to dilute with 5 parts meths and it makes a decent sandling sealer. So that's 3 L of sanding sealer for basically $25 - sounds alright to me.
