    hmmm, gunning the engine in the 1.8 lt hatchback and then, about 20 minutes later when its up to speed, crashing it into a tree.
    Was that in the Whittlesea local rag, or an american one?

    I am worried about my wife........she doesn't have a car with an airbag, but does have a black belt in Karate. Will she be OK?

    from my karate days i can tell you that there's karate and then there's dancing called karate. people can get black belts in either. karate black belts generally take several years of hard training and dedication but ballet dancing ones are handed out like lollies because the instructors (i dare not call them their preferred title of sensei in defference to a well respected forum member) receive a grading fee from every student they promote.

    Wooden Luddite, if your wife has a real black belt i am sure she will be fine. if she has a liquorice strap, get an airbag!!!

    In these days of equal opportunity, I guess us middle aged gentlemen should take note also.
