Default Recommendation of insulation installer for Melbourne Western suburbs

Been trying to find a decent insulation installer to install R4.0 batts in the roof (victorian), who can claim the government rebate (apparently the installer needs to be licensed to claim the rebate)?

    Any recommendations?

Can't recommend an installer, but I can say it ain't hard to do (although pick a cool day to do it on! Just did my old place that had no insulation, it was hot, dusty and uncomfortable, but certainly not hard.

30% rebate upto $300 (for first $1000) or upto $500 for pensioners, here in Victoria.

Wish I knew about the rebate when I did my roof earlier in the year!

Rebate information is available online. http://www.sustainability.vic.gov.au...sp?intSiteID=4

You need to use a qualified/registed fitter for the scheme.

So who did you end up using?

I end up doing it myself, even after the rebate it was cheaper for me to do it.

I bought 15bags of R4 Insulco $30 a bag. (yes that is correct)

Installation took a day, however i didn't clean my ceiling space (and don't under why you would want to)

I ended up getting 3 quotes, 2 who were with the scheme and 1 that wasn't.
One not on the scheme quoted $850
2nd was approx $1050 so around $750 after rebate - Ended up not using this company as they told my wife something different to me.
I ended up getting "Climate Control Insulation" to do the work, who were approx $600 after the rebate. They used somewhere between 17 and 20 bags of R4.0 batts. They installed it yesterday; however I'm still waiting for them to come back to install a few batts as there was a mis calculation in the number required.
