Hi From Outback Queensland
Hi Everyone
My Name is Danny and I'm from a North West Queensland from a town called Cloncurry. I'm rather a newbie to this woodworking thing and on a journey of learning the fundamentals and nuances. Since I'm remote out here, Truck freight is the life blood of our town which means wooden pallets are in a plentiful supply. After watching YouTube channels like Dainer Made and Wreck it Woodworker and seeing what is possible with upcycling pallet wood I thought I would give this woodworking thing a go.
My current project is making a rather simple pallet wood workbench, which I'll post the details of in the relevant forum after this post.
At any rate, I hope to learn a thing or two from everyone here and look forward to everyone's advice.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum Danny.....
There are a quite a few members in & around FNQ with stacks around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork.
Cheers crowie
PS - You'd like "Dainer Made" You Tube videos on using pallets..
PSS - I almost broke-down on the old dirty road from Cloncurry to Isa after a 2ft deep bulldust drift after a cattlegrid, in the early 1980's but found an old WW2 airstrip to make temporary repairs...
