Breaking news......
Family Court Ruling from Queensland Australia
A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the New South Wales state of origin team , whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

I always thought that the "Big Question" was "Do these pants make my rear end look fat?"
Regardless of how you answer, you're in trouble.

The REALLY big question is "Darling, what are you thinking about?" You know the times.
Answer 1. "Oh, about how I'm going to fit that new spiral head on my thicknesser." = FAIL! You thoughtless uncaring monster.
Answer 2. "Nothing at all dear." = FAIL! "You were thinking about those B%%^&^&^ tools again weren't you!" No dinner/sweets for you tonight mate.
Answer 3. "Oh, just about how wonderful the past xx years have been together darling." = FAIL. She KNOWS you are lying. You are now in real danger now buddy! How deep can you dig this hole is the next question.
Correct answer is "Oh, what I'm gonna make you for dinner." Then immediately get up and take something out of the freezer. Now you're on a winner. (You'll probably get sweets too)

it wasn't the ice I was referring to ...
here, during winter every town has an outdoor ice rink -- heck in some parts it's nearly every street
it's like a beach-side suburb back home where half the population jumps on a board for a quick wave or two before or after work, or both. All you need is a puck, a stick and skates -- no helmet, no padding -- the local "park rules" prohibit body contact and slap shots. And you play as other people just skate around the rink.regards from Alberta, Canada
