Weathered Look
Does any one know how to achieved the grey weathered look in exterior timber construction? I'm using bloodwood, spotted gum, black butt and merbau.

that depends on how weathered you want it to look.
the gray look can be achieve with oxalic acid........wire brushing, sand blasting or preasure cleaning can be used to soften the edges and open the grain.
I expect you will have some issues with colour variation with the different spicies and some bleeding with the merbau/kwila.
Havn't tried any of the above methods but I have seen plenty written about the methods.
