Hi,

I've bought a small house (more like a shack) which seems to be made out of steel sheeting exterior and melamine walls. Yes, it contains asbestos. The roof has been leaking for ages and the chipboard-looking ceilings are caved in and mouldy. I'm having the roof and floors replaced and want to get the ceiling AND walls plasterboarded or gyprocked to create even smooth surfaces for painting.

1. Can plasterboard or gyprock be attached to tin/steel to create a smooth, flat surface? Is it expensive?

2. Can plasterers do the ceilings AND walls?

3. I'm thinking of having the front of the house rendered too. Is this also done by a plasterer?

As you can tell, I know NOTHING about building. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
