Any chance old time Renovate Forum can say hi if they made it here?
Hello :D
Boo!
Here
uhoo
Yupe too
Yep, with an extra zero.
Good to see the usual suspects. Surely there are others.
Hope this place has good energy.
Keep on posting and see what develops.
present & correct.
Here too! (But unable to post as I cannot see anyone's photos, cannot upload photos from my computer except by 3rd party host [URL} and cannot access my profile or settings! Requested assistance and waiting.)
Never left [emoji2060]
here too since about 2005, still haven’t finished some of the stuff i started back then…
DJ’s Timber -Yay - thanks - all seems to be working now!
We were both very happy with ubeaut for looking after us all.
Being a simple man, can someone help me?
There used to be a "New Posts" link to all the latest posts in the old Renovate Forum. This was where I used to log in to see what was happening and if I could help anyone.
I cannot seem to find it in the new shortcut to Renovate Forums? Is it not there, or am I missing it?
David
:?
It's right there. Regardless if in woodwork forum, renovate forum or metalwork forum.
Next to activity stream and under marketplace tab ... on the dark line of links ...:)
Once you find it, put it in your bookmarks so you can go directly to it.
I'm here.
here
I'm here.
Yeah, I'm here. Should have done it sooner : ) .
Don't think that is is that easy to get rid of us.
We'll [ Cecile and I] for a few years yet, you never know we might actually finish one day and then you'll all want to come to the party.
Consider yourselves invited; but please no breath holding.
Hi all...
Great to see the familiar faces.
Due to an existing member having already registered JB1 (or it not meeting the guideline for user names), I'm now JimB1 (or the artist formerly known as JB1).
Also note that this forum can be accessed by Tapatalk.
yep, good to be here, been otherwise busy, but very appreciative of the generosity to be here.
What's everyone got on the go at the moment?
I've found it hard to find passage sets and locks for thick doors? Why thick doors? Well, I've made them myself, why not Hey, not thinking it'd be a problem... Wrong!
But almost solved :)
Yep, here.
Finally finished 2 shower reno's (fixes as a result of leaks) under warranty. Slowest fix's I've seen but really good finish as a result of learning a lot along the way including the AusStandards and a plumber neighbor that specialises in investigations/repairs, some advice from here, me doing the demo and pushing back on substandard work where applicable. Second shower was basically trouble free with really good trades supplied.
Fixed the firebox last month after 7 years of pain (lack of draft) from Johns advice (sealing the flu join into the top of the fire box even though nothing was visible) and all new seals. Its never burnt so well in its 8 year life.
Projects over the next 12 month are:
- raised vegi garden beds,
- walk-in fridge possibly on a trailer to age deer carcasses for butchering,
- more retaining walls, drainage, gardens
- ...with most of the framing in the shed for the last 4 years, maybe finish off the dam jetty that's had the posts in for 6 years!!!
Me too.
I'm here. Good to see familiar usernames. joined the other site in about2014
Hi i am back as well.
Can someone explain for the record the historical timeline.
I joined as Daleblack back ?... 2006 ish and I am sure back then
1)
the renovate forum as such was just a add on to the woodworkers forum. If so how long was that reign xx/xx to xx/xx.
2)
Then the completely separate Renovation forum was created with its own url and newer style forum. Time xx/xx to xx/xx.
Then it was sold to Airtasker or ? who in about May 2023 shut it down for good.
3)
Woodwork forums , who never shutdown or sold ?, has recreated this www.renovateforums.com.au, url as its own again?
But our logins work either here or the Woodwork forums?
thanks all
Hiya
