Just started a high Protien regime today, so all I had for dinner was a delicious steak.
chicken and chips
Beef with red wine gravy and creamy mashed potato... didn't hang around long enough to take a photo though:wink:
Tomorrow nights is in the slow cooker ready to go... country chicken caserole:2tsup:. It will start cooking at 1200 tomorrow, ready to go when I get home from work. I love my slow cooker in winter:)
Looks good DJ but not sure about the keyboard in the background.

Always a good move.
On the steak matter I had a small problem with my butcher and his steaks.
I gave him some details on what I wanted and this is what I ended up with. These are about 1 inch thick and the 2 just fit on the hot plate side of my 4 burner BBQ.
I had a talk to the butcher after and he admitted the error of his ways but said he just could not get any bigger ones.
All went down well with a few green vegs and some potatoes quartered and cooked on the hot plate in a olive oil garlic and chile marinade. Potatoes done separately, no room with the small steaks.
Lamb chops, mash potato and peas, corn, carrot medley for tonight's meal :H

Perhap's the power's to be could add another leg on this Forum centipede with the heading of ''food for woodies, topping up the tank,'' there would be many other cleaver headings to use .
p s the food displayed looks fine to me i'd have no trouble sitting up to the table with food like that.:D
DJ I guess these meals to you are a major step after all you have been through well done.:2tsup:
It took LOML 6 months to help me eat again, I still can't go near a hamburger although Wednesday I can honestly say its the first time I felt like trying one.

Looks like a bit of planning has gone into these meals.:U
I'm single so planning dinner for me is looking at the use by dates on the meat. :-
For veggies, it's out to the garden to see what's ready to pick*.
* Carrots, it's always carrots.
AT what point of time. 2 basic reds used.
While doing eth cooking a couple of red label Cooper's. For the uninitiated that's the Sparkling Ale.
Then on to what ever fell of the wine rack. Yes SHMBO go a glass of the wine but I just hate sharing good red wine with a white wine drinker.
At least I did not share the steaks with her, just me and son. She got a piece of chicken
I think tonight will be steak and eggs in a bottle:D
If you wish to know what bottle just look at my avatar to see its cousin:U
If it dips below 22oC I may have to make a pizza but only if it is cold:(
