Doesn't the missus sit up all night keeping an eye on you to make sure that you don't get into an uncomfortable position, I know mine would :roflmao:.

Maybe the TAC gardener will multi-task ;-}
GJ, I'm sure she would if I asked nicely, but then I'd stay awake worrying about her lack of rest :(
Peter, yes, it'll fade. Be good to speed it up with a little daylight saving tho :U
Now what happened with the boat? :oo:
Have been game enough to remove splint and 'sock' a coulpe of times now and rub some feeling back into the skin ... ah, bliss ... a weightless feeling for a couple of hours.
Half the palm still hasn't recovered full feeling though.
sorry to hear about this unfortunate event mate, but some good will come out of it.
Thanks GM.
I am sh*tting myself about whether a usable hand will come out of this, and am sceptical about orthopods - but I'm in their hands and can only trust.
They'll fix you up, after all, it's only mechanics and if you have pain then the nerves are working (says Dr Mick the draftsman:oo:)
Hope you start getting some better rest soon.
Thanks Mick; hadn;t thought of it like that.
We celebrated my daughter's birthday yesterday and a generous dose of NZ Pinot led to 7 hours of sleep :2tsup:
The K wires come out tomorrow at 9.30 all things OK, and not knowing what this involves of course Google came to the rescue. Need to know when my partner should be prepared to come and pick me up.
I'd thought a local in theatre under a soothing dose of Pethidine or the like.
Google returned 3 vids for heaven's sake.
And puke!!!

Course mine may be different, but maybe some of Rumpig's Bundy for brekky might be a good idea!
Ern, ear plugs will help too!:oo: Took my 12 year old son to the bone doctor to have several wires removed from thumb and wrist. Doc assured him he wouldn't feel a thing, and it wasn't too bad, but it sounded awful to me (and him):o
Erk.
Thanks for the tip Fred.
Might go in with portable stereo with the Ride of the Valkyries playing.
Or m/b helmet with std earplugs in place :-{
Cool. Can nauseate dinner guests with home vids, in surround sound :C
Won't have to do much cooking :wink:
good luck tomorrow
and with the amber fluid tops
invest in one of those coke bottle openers the corner stores used to have
Something like this

You'll have to get someone to affix it to the shed door though :D
I've one in brass on the shed wall - works well and is one handed
could rivet it to the splint, along with multi-grips for opening jars.
Well, the alignment is good and the wounds clean - only there's not enough bony mass (in the wrist GJ!) to take the wires out. Another 2 weeks.
