The other Craig in attendance (Springwater) began creating Ned Kelly's helmet. He started with a hand saw and then someone thought they saw an old chainsaw in Dave's useful box and Gordon from the motel down the road drove back to get his too (it helps when chainsaws have petrol in them and the chains on the right way around guys!) An Arbortech was then used. I then saw a hatchet whacking away.
Trevor then attempted turning some timber for the first time. As Dave said above, we're turning him to the dark side, muahaha.
Dave's son Tom was inspired by the bike and made a model of his own.
Forum members and non-members alike enjoyed the lunch and bbq dinner. Crowie and rwbuild were stuck on the road still and had to be assisted by NRMA and then Dave and Trevor drove out to meet them.
A most enjoyable day. I intended to be there for 4 hours, which quickly became 8.

Not sure about using the chainsaw like that though :o. I assume that strap holding the log isn't metal, but the bar is also too short so you are asking for kickback as you bury the bar :(, then there is cutting down onto a steel surface :doh:
Any chance of some names to go with the photos for those unfamiliar with everyone?

Yes they made it, they are leaving in the morning. Today RWBuild turned up a candle stick holder and crowie supervised.
There were a few fireworks tonight. No seriously, fire works! For our guests that stayed the night we thought we'd put on a show. A real show! About 5 or 10 minutes of fore works.
