Had a Kiwi friend some time ago. We discussed the issue of NZ joining the Federation. He wasn't sure though how Aussies would take to the name change (frm Australia to New Zealand).

Born in Tassie to Kiwi Parents
Loyalty = Tasmania (89%)then KiwiLand(6%) then that big island up north where my tax dollars flow(5%)..:D
Didn't the Australian constitution allow for NZ to become part of Oz if they so chose however being a sensible lot thought they would go their own way though i do believe bondi was annexed by NZ in the 80's:p
(Edit)
Where do the "others" come? from this polls is quite Briticentric surely there have to be people who hail from Asia, India, Middle East, Africa N&S America as well as other European countries who are part of this forum.
I'm Duncan MacLeod, born four hundred years ago in the Highlands of Scotland. I am Immortal and I am not alone. For centuries we've waited for the time of the Gathering, when the stroke of a sword and a fall of a head will release the power of the Quickening. In the end, there can be only one."
Oh yeah? Well, I was born in a cross-fire hurricane. And raised by a toothless bearded hag.
But it's all right now.
In fact it's a gas.
:p
This frog hopped into a bank and asked to see someone about a loan.
He was directed to Ms Patrica Wack, the loan officer.
He filled in the paperwork with her help stating his father as Mick Jagger. When asked for colateral he produced a small statue.
Ms Wack was unsure so she went to see the manager and asked if the statue was colateral enough.
The manager replied............................
Wait for it..........................
"It's a nick nack Pattie Wack, give the frog a loan. His old mans a Rolling Stone..................
You knew my ex:rolleyes:Quote:

The previous poll on the subject at least attempted to give a large range of possible countries.
Peter.
8 other people disagree with you Peter :D :D
HH.
So, we'll put you down as an 'other' then, shall we ;)Quote:

I knew it would all end in tears...
:p
I bet the Welsh, Scots and the Irish like being lumped in with the poms too
I think pom applies as much to the celts as it does to the English they were a good portion of the fodder that was shipped over in the first fleet.:D
HH.
Haven't even looked at who has voted, I can't help it if those aren't proud of their heritage.:mad:Quote:

The very least it should have provided for the separate continents.
Maybe, as still about half our population came (or is descended from those who came) from the British isles, there is a case for Europe to be separated into two being Europe - British Isles and Europe not British Isles.
Also to give recognition to our Seppo friends America could also be separated into two being America - USA and America non USA.
New Zealand should have been included under Oceania.
Else it is all a farce and shows the bias of this poll.
May be we should bring back Sir Stinkelot as our official poll taker.:D :D :D
Peter.
Actually, the original purpose of this poll - to root out the Kiwis - has been served with the existing set of poll options. The poll probably should have been simply:
Are you a Kiwi?
Yes
No
Then we wouldn't have needed to have this argument.
There are a few of them though, aren't there?
:D :D :DQuote:

To be fair to the Kiwis, you'd have to have three options
Yes
No
Huh
