I must admit that I have re-read Doug's joke several times, and I cannot find any offense with it.

Maybe I have been immunised against the 'Political Correctness' disease.

I would be very surprised if any of the women in my sphere of contact would be offended by it - it would be more likely that they would treat it as a 'Dad's joke' and nothing more.

Some people have a sense of humor, some their sense is just a rumor.

Anyway Ladies and Gentlemen, now that we have successfully hijacked the thread away from the original poster's intentions by a considerable distance - I think it is about time to bring it back on topic and discuss the serious business of - ummm what was it again?
