Good one Trev
Send me details so I can get there
Studley
I should be able to make it.
Roughly where are you Trev? I want to work out how practical it'll be to ride the treddly there because I have to pick up the lad later in the day. Riding'd be good though because I can burn off all those chops and stuff :B
Someone with a vested interest in having me there could send me a reminder in the week leading up to it - I've developed a habit of remembering functions AFTER they occur
Richard
Oops, just discovered the location buried in the middle of Trev's last post.
Put me down as an attendee ... baring senior forgetfulness (I know I'm not technically a senior yet - I'm practicing :C)
Richard
Will be there if Im not rig-bound.
Trevor, can you PM me the address...thanks.
Cheers Martin
Adelaide Shed Meet on Sunday 11th November at 12.30pm is looking good at 15 definite starters and a number of maybe's. A number of member's are yet to respond to my PM's or Email's so the numbers could yet grow. Let me know if anyone is bringing SWMBO or HWMBO. Lunch of course will be a simple BBQ provided by yours truly but you are asked to bring your own drinks.
I have about a dozen chairs and so if a few kind folk could chuck a chair in the boot that would be great. That cut's you out Zenwood because you won't be able to fit a chair and your blackwood cabinet in together. If any of you are picking up clamps from Javali, remember to leave room for the chair because I don't want chairs left over after the event.
Studley, you are the official photographer so charge your batteries and clear your memory cards.
I will email or PM my details by 28th October.
Of course the day is Rememberance Day and so anyone wearing a Poppy or Rosemary MAY be rewarded with a free drink.
At the moment the lawn is nearly dead, so any liquid spillage in the back yard will be a blessing.
Cheers
Trevor
Hi Trevor
Change me from a maybe to a definite starter please.
I'll wait for a PM or email for the other details.
Looking forward to the day.
Cheers
Rob :)
:D:DJust a note to let you know that we from the eastern side await the photos of the event. Some of us would love to attend but having the PREMIERSHIP CUP is defineitly some consulation.:D:D:2tsup:
David
Good to see we have some interest from across the border. You can keep the cup (until next season), just send us some of your wood. As for the photos i'm sure Studley 2436 will oblige in due course.
Cheers
Trevor
Sounds like it will be a great time.
I would love to come but unfortunately I have a prior family committment.:bigcry:
Hopefully I may be able to attend a future meet.
Regards
Alex
See yer then Trev... magnet's and all!
Good on ya Harry. I'm sure there will be interest in a demonstartion of changing planer/jointer cutters and setting up using the magnet method. And my machine will benefit as well. Bewdy.
We have great interest so far with numbers close to 20 so it should be a great day. The gas bottle for the barby is full and rarin' to go. It will probably rain like hell just when you want a fine day.
I haven't heard from bnj, Boatmik, tameriska, Shedgirl or Woodgirl at all and Tonto and Ticky are undecided. Buzza is unable to commit so far but sounds like he would like to come. Thanks to those who have replied to my emails or PM's and sent apologies.
If there are others lurking out there, don't be afraid to consider coming.
My address and contact details have been sent to all who have indicated they are coming. If I have missed anyone please let me know.
Remember 11th November at 12.30pm.
Cheers
Trevor
I should be comming along with Tex79, sounds like a good time to be had.
:innocent:....
:clown:
The Adelaide Shed Meet's have never been by invitation only. If anyone on the forum is interested then all they need do is post and say so. Some people were sent PM's or emails on the prompt from others but interest is generally from individual forumites who wish to have a social and interactive get together.
If you are interested then as the host for No.7, post or send me a PM or email to let me know.
Regards
Trevor
Sorry, I misunderstood the early posts. Yes, I would like to meet you guys, thanks.
This post is just a reminder about the Adelaide Shed Meet No.7 to be hosted by yours truly on
Sunday 12.30pm 11th November 07.
The rain should hopefully have cleared (I do love the rain) and I look forward to everyone having a good time under clear blue skies. No outback verandah so if the sun is out you might like to bring a hat or at least Forum Cap.
I am catering for 20 which is a good number and I look forward to either catching up again or greeting new faces. Don't forget to bring your own drinks and some of you, a chair. I do have about 12 chairs.
If anyone feels a need to contact me you should all have my details.
Cheers
Trevor
Trevor Dont look to promising for me. Harvest will be in full swing so I'll be cleaning grain and we have to be in Ade. for grand daughters %th birthday 2 weeks later.
Will make it sometime
No problem Tony. I had you as a possible, so we may see you next time. Good luck with the harvest.
Cheers
Trevor
So all's well then Trev see you sundy, I might bring the Domi for you's to play with:)
Hey javali will them 1.5m long clamps fit in your car?
All's well Harry. Unfortunately Ian007 is now unable to come but we will have a surprise visitor from Melbourne. Numbers at about 20, fine day 26 deg so should be good. Studley, don't forget you are the official photographer.
See you Sunday.
Cheers
Trevor
Better charge the batteries up then Trevor!
Never used to be like this we used to do dark side photography but that has all been and gone now
Studley
Had to shoot through early:(
But what a fantastic BBQ, thank you Trevor and Marilyn for you generosity.
Great to put faces to names. And it was an honor to meet the one and only !
Looking forward to the next one already.
, the Minister for BBQ's. He's a bit of a character that one. Good Bloke.
Yes, thanks Trevor and co for the excellent hospitality!
Good to meet you all, (and !) Also looking forward to the next one.
woodbe.
Echo the thanks to Trevor and SWMBO for a magnificent spread and fine hospitality. You guys really looked after us.
Good to see so many there, and to meet a few new faces. Pity I couldn't catch up with everyone.
Was indeed a great pleasure to meet : a real gentleman, who really knows his stuff. And an impressive travelling rig too.
Thanks Trevor and SWMBO. Great to meet all, and see you again.
Big thanks to Trev and SWMBO for cooking up a storm and allowing us to invade his shed.
It was great to catch up with some of the guys and meet many new ones.
I'm looking forward to the next one already.
Thanks Drew and Harry for ptuuing on some demos, they were very informative. Scarpers are now on my list of tools to buy.
So it sounds like there was a gathering in SA and everyone had a great time :U, but as we all say "NO pictures, it didn't happen" :q:U
Got them wait until tomorrow OK

Thanks for the good day Trev.
Didnt get home till 11.30... took 20ltrs+ of water and 4x 1/2 hr stops to get home!
I found the hole in the rad Trev, was just below the top hose right near our noses, price out a new rad tomorrow... not gunna be cheap:(
Sorry i didnt get there guys. One thing led to another and before i knew it my day went to S&*^%^&. Hopefully i can get to the next one if im not already blacklisted as a no show .
Regards
Allan
Thanks Trevor, a very nice day out with the boys. ( must have scared away all the girls, he showed up and they didn't:U).
Thanks Guys for all your positive comments about the day. It was great to have you all and to meet and make some new friends. Thanks Harry for the blade swap on the jointer. It was a good demo and everyone seemed to appreciate the experience. Thanks also to Zenwood for bringing along his scraper kit and burnishing my scrapers. I can see now that scrapers are like planes, you need many, not just one. Thanks also to Mike for the hunk of wood that I am yet unable to identify (was it Silky Oak Mike?)and to Lefty Jim and I think ???(can't remember)for the bottles of wine. I apologise for my forgetfulness.
Sorry to hear that it took you so long to get home Harry. I was thinking of you while I was doing dishes and thought at about 8.30pm you should be home by about now with maybe one stop for water. Well at least one radiator is better than one motor.
A special thank to for making the effort to come. I hope your stay didn't cost too much at the casino , or maybe SWMBO won enough for you to buy a new lathe!
Look forward to the photos Studley. Thanks to the photographers.
Regards
Trevor
Harry, about your radiator, did you try loosening the radiator cap so that the radiator didn't pressurise and empty all the water on the road?
Just a thought,
woodbe.
