Have shaken the hand of Ferdinand Marcos. Related by marriage to Mark Latham and Grant McBride. Had a beer and a smoke with Ernie Dingo when I "starred" on one of his early shows. Was in the same high school class as Chook Fowler. Lived across the road from Terry Lamb's father in law, can still remember the hangovers when Terry visited for a BBQ. Tim Flannery is a cousin. Christopher Dale Flannery is no relation, nor is Justice Flannery.
Murphy lives here. :(
My sister works at Featherdale wildlife park, so she's got a long list...
Last week she met Robert de Niro and Gwen Stefani.
Had Keith Payne VC as an instructor in the army, before he won his VC. Interesting man - very calm, only ever shouted to be heard, not for emphasis. Similar temperament to a couple of champion athletes I've met - very focussed.
Met the 2nd most important bloke in the world.
Here's his website
Does this include famous failures? I met John Howard in Hyde Park, Sydney during his first term in office, and I had a loaded gun. And an extra 6 bullets.
Other famous types: Christopher Lee - asked me how to get to the 'Entertainment Centre' in Sydney - he really does SPEAK IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
Yahoo & Mrs. Serious, during pre-production of Reckless Kelly they came round to my home with the art staff to try on some armour.
When I was working at the Easter Show (Sydney) I was handed an autograph book as 'lost property'. As I was 'back stage' I got some of the 'Skyhooks' to sign it & returned it to the owner via the local police - a very happy girl with a book full of very interesting signatures - her dad was a TV manager type.
