If you run a fine file over it where it cuts through the surface does it get to a harder silver material about 2mm down and are the fillings you get much darker than the surface colourQuote:

When you say light weight is it heaver than a piece of aluminium of the same size that has suffered from extensive salt or caustic corrosion .
