For claustrophobes like me, if the thing is happening in a hospital I tell them that I'll throw up all over their machine if they don't provide a sedative.
If I have some notice I take a valium. The Doc is happy to prescribe. My teeth aren't the best cos I always hated having a mouth full of the dentist's hardware; couldn't care less about the pain. Since the valium discovery it's all smooth sailing.

everything's healing up as per google search (and doctors prognosis),
the unexpected onset of tourettes (when I cough, sneeze or laugh) is also going away
Some more things I've discovered during convalescence.
1...life is good :)
2...Inactivity and underfoot are natural enemies, (some blokes should not be allowed too much time to ...just....sit...and..... think...:rolleyes::cool::(:?:oo:)
3...using downtime wisely and the interweb is a contradiction
4...mates that drop around and see if they can make me laugh are still mates...(the bastards).
5...did I mention that life is good :)

I have had 2 people try to clobber me on the road so far, lucky for me, neither them or I we not traveling at any speed.
Both times it has been the other person's fault, they went through a red light.
Both times the car I have been in has had to be towed from the site.
I still count my lucky stars.
Ouch! Glad you are still with us underfoot and I am sure your family feels the same way. What happens to Mr Invulnerable - will he be charged?
I can really identify with the inactivity bit, and all I have stopping me are two detached tendons on the finger tips of my index and middle finger of my left hand. I'm wearing these little plastic splints and Doc says no using my left hand for the next 6 weeks for anything other than dressing myself and yes I can use a keyboard!
Compounded by being physically away from my shed for the last 3 months I'm frustrated as hell by this. Of course I could always get stuck into my day job backlog but that just doubles the frustration! ARRGGGGH!!!!
