So what are we going to decide to put our knowledge to this week?
Sharpening, carving, clamping, hardening steel. Something else?
:coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::drink2:
How about virtual shed tours ?
Cheers Matt.
Hi All,
It's nearly Friday again (YESSS and YAY!)
Rather than a specific topic this week, let's do a "What's on your bench" show and tell?
I really like Matt's idea of some workshop tours, so perhaps we can arrange someone for next week to show us around. I know I really enjoyed seeing Doug's workshop and surrounds during his bench reveal.
Anyway, as usual, open to any and all who have a spare 40 minutes (or just prefer to chat than work).

Good too see everyone, good catch up.
Cheers Matt.
These are the calipers that I was talking about. They are not super high quality, its mild steel but I think they are accurate. They are also 10". I think they are better than what you can buy on ebay.
But just as I was to post his. I did a search on McJing. They have 12" calipers for 18 bux each. So that might be an option.
Thanks all again for the chat, i pulled the pin on a new Harvey Ambassador c200-30 after we finished up... hope to see it before xmas :)
I might put the fully automated router table back a little bit though.
Nice to hear and see what we are all working on
Lance, what kept coming to mind is pattern follow tooling and i found this diy version that could be of interest A Poor Man's Lathe Duplicator Rig
Something is wrong with the connection. I was the only one there but I see several other regulars are browsing. Same thing for you?
Regards
Paul
Hmmmm. Time frame? Daylight saving?
S*?t!
Regards
Paul
I wondered what happened to you Paul :(
Thanks Doug, Matt, et. al. for your advice about pull duplication.
With the pattern and measurements, and playing join-the-dots, I got really close.
Original is Tasmanian Oak with brass insert, the copy is blackwood with a Huon Pine insert. These practice pulls are to good to throw away. I'll have to build something that can use them!
