Sam Maloof in his final 2 coats of finish uses half linseed, half tung oil and some bees wax. If I was to make up 1 litre of this mix, how much bees wax would I need to mix in please as the recipe does not say, well the one I've got doesn't.:D:D

Hello SB
I've used this recipe once with a 500ml batch
added about a matchbox full of beeswax shredded,
i was worried about the flakes of wax floating in the mix
but the heat from buffing melted most of it in. The rest wiped off.
I was happy with the result.
I did however recently find a liquid beeswax which has
a mineral spirit in it, presumably to keep it liquified, i intend
using that next time, as for the exact amount? about that much
regards
col.
A double pot is safer or better still s solar wax melter using a foam box and an old window pane.
