Damp proofing - DIY vs professional
Gday,
I'm investigating damp proofing by gravity-fed injection method.
(House is a Victorian Terrace, solid brick on Bluestone footings)
Quotes for supply and installation range from $4500 - $7000 for the whole house (basically all walls need it)
Or there's the DIY option from TechDry. Which will come in around $1760
http://www.techdry.com.au/product_pa...urse_fluid.htm
Basically you drill 10mm holes into the bricks and fill with fluid.
Obviously I won't get the 20 year guarantee, but I visited them and was given good clear instructions, and told the product is the same as if installed by them.
I read a couple of very old posts about satisfactory DIY attempts, just wondered if anyone else has used the product and what they thought of it? Particularly ease of use/ how it has stood up?
Thanks in advance.
Ben.
