is a makita 650W variable speed drill key chuck ok?

im after a new power drill having returned my other piece of crap bosch drill that had crap chuck bearings that lasted a few weeks and the fact that the chuck would loosen after about 5 second sof operation.
i have now got a great hate of keyless chucks with that last bosch drill being my first and now last keyless chuck i ever own.
i have seen this makita 650W variable speed hammer drill for $117 from bunnings and wondering if anyone can tell me if this is any good or not and worth getting??
