Kitchen Island Question

Hi All, I am about to start on a new kitchen and i am keen to build an island (roughly about 1600x700mm) but i want it to be mobile, has anyone got any suggestions on the best make to make it work?

I was thinking about some lockable casters hidden under the plinth, but is there a better way? Seems like it would be a pain to remove the plinth everytime we want to move it, although for occasional use it might be ok.

Our kitchen is tiled, so i dont think gliders/sliders would do the trick.
