recommendation on stone finish solaguard

Hi,

I am painting preprimed pine posts of a new pergola. Both the pergoal and deck are natural recycled hardwood timber, so I wanted to blend the paint of the posts as much as possible with the overall rustic look and thought of stone finish solaguard.

HOWEVER, someone (I don't know whom) once told my wife that this paint looks really nice at the begining but after a while it looks really bad.

I wondered if anyone has had a long term experience with extenal use of this paint and if anyone can suggest a better alternative.

Also, does anyone know of painters forums where I could ask the same question.
