Street lighting question

Hi all,

Does anybody know the recommended distance between street lights in a residential area or has worked in the field, eg. Ergon Energy.

Just for your info i'm in Maryborough Qld.

Does every intersection have to have a light on it and what is the maximum distance between lights based on light type and wattage?
