Deck Floor Level

Hi There,

We are considering building a tiled deck and want to keep the step down from the inside floor level to the deck floor level to a minimum (due to height limitations under deck). Main consideration is water drainage.

Q1. What is the advisable step down from the inside floor level to the deck floor level for a tiled deck? What is it for a timber deck?

Q2. Is this mandated by the BCA (i.e. do we need a minimum to get approval).
