Ten Times Normal Size

The sixth grade teacher, Mrs Wallan, asked her class,
"Which part of the human body can grow to ten times it's
norman size when stimulated?"

No one answered until little Mary stood and said, "You
should not be asking a question like that. I'm going to
tell my parents and you will get into trouble."

Mrs Wallen ignored her and asked the question again,
"Which part of the body increases in size when stimulated?"

Little Mary's mouth fell open. Then she said to those around
her, "Boy, is she going to get into trouble!"

Finally, John put up his hand and said, "Please Miss, it's the
pupil of the eye."

Mrs Wallen said, "Thank you John." She turned to Mary and
said, "As for you young lady, I have three things to say to
you. One - you have a dirty mind. Two - you haven't read your
homework and three, one day, you are going to be very, very
disappointed!"

It's actually the iris. The question was posed by a professor of medicine ( forget his name) at Melbourne Uni in the 1950s.

Well there you go Barry
... you should have been a better pupil and asked

a diet plan popped up in google adds (left hand column)
Hmmmm?:rolleyes: what are they suggesting?

Just goes to show that Google is trying to do their best to match adds with content.

They missed but ya gotta admit it sure was a damn good try.

Yep. Keywords can be so misinterpreted. Well before Google, IIRC, one of my first ventures into the weird wild web was a search for valuation tables of US Savings bonds. Innocently enough, I simply entered "bonds" in the search field. Boyoboy, did I get a rude awakening! Nothing about savings bonds, but lots of hits for, shall we say, alternate life styles.

I was writing a program for thermal imagery of the wheel bearing box on train axles.
In the train engineering trade a faulty bearing is known as a hot box.
I innocently did a google on "hot box" :o

I wanted build a "jib" or "derrick" crane off the side of my shed to lift some heavier projects,

WARNING!!!....:oo:.. don't google "stiff jib derrick"

.................it'll make you feel very inadequate.
