Looks a bit like somewhere in the Lake District (not Coniston or Windemere though)
Hanging in the Smithsonian?? :? :D
Wales?
Yes, and with the help of attached photographs can someone get more specific?

Google is my friend.
I am pretty sure it's Tal-y-lyn Lake in Mid Wales.
It looks like the Yn'n-y-Cornel Hotel.

Yes Spot on.
Lovely place in Wales especially when the sun is out and great for trout fishing as well.
How do you google a picture, Way? Way to clever I reckon!!!
/me takes bow.
I had three hints: lake, hotel, Wales.
I used the PicLens plugin for Firefox (alternative to Internet Explorer) and was able to scan hundreds of photos in under a few minutes. It took me about 3 minutes to find it.
(Piclens takes images from multiple websites then displays them like a wall of photos you can just "walk" along until to find what you want without needing to open the websites.)
The real question is, why does jow104 want to know? :)
Wayfarer I got this warning when I tried to download the plug in.
