c-section frame for decking
hi there all, and thanks to all of you who have been putting feedback and solutions on here, i found it invaluable.
i plan on making a deck with a c100 purlin frame.
all up there are two frames, one is 5100mm X 2200 and the other is 3750X 2200. the later will be 2 steps lower, but in-line.the larger one will be 820mm off the ground.
i intend on using 50mm round scafolding pipes for the posts (concreted in) what spacing would i need for this to be stable enough? and, to make life easier i want to have some flat pine, maybe 50 X 50mm on the c-section (as joists) so that nailing will be a breeze, rather than having to pre-drill and to use screws to place the decking ( 90x19 TP) onto the steel....any thoughts or comments would be appreciated
