What's the view out of your window

This morning I was idly looking out of my window in my office/shed and saw one of my mates, about five feet up one of our palm trees.

If someone walks up the street towards him he edges around the tree, so that they don't know he's there.
He is incredible in this respect. Quite a few times I have walked close to him and he has retreated around the back, I have done a complete circle around the tree and not caught sight of him. How he senses which way I am moving I don't know.

He is one of our resident frill neck lizards. To catch sight of him early on puts me in a good mood for starting the day.

So what's the view out of you window, in this wonderful land of ours?

ok so he's got a tounge that can whip out and catch a fly at any angle any direction and your wondering how he knows a big footed human is coming:doh:

Bird pron?

Well, if I look to the right, I see the back of our house and a clear blue sky. If I look to the left, I see nothing but bush. Sure beats looking at skyscrapers.

I can see the lawn running down into the creek, yesterday morning included a mother duck and 3 tiny ducklings (they appeared two days ago). When I got home there was only one left (mother duck went quack, quack, quack, quack and only one little duck came back) - I hate people who let their cats roam freely. Today I did not see them at all, I hope this does not mean the other has been taken so she has left.

And thats a nice relaxing scene there Cliff. Really peaceful.
I looked out my window this morning and there were ducks on the pond which is kinda nice and peaceful too.

From my kitchen window I have a view to the East
where I have a great view of the Hume Range and
Mt Disappointment. Beyond that (on a clear day)
I can see Mt St. Leonard at Toolangi which is about
57 kilometres (as the crow flies) from Wallan.

I live on the side of Pretty Sally Hill, a well known
landmark in Wallan - just a great part of the world
with plenty of fresh air, good friends and great
neighbours.

Wow! does that ever stir up some memories! All the truckie stories when I was a whipper-snapper of how hard it was to pull their load over Pretty Sally when the highway still went over it.

Sorry for the thread diversion - my shed doesn't have a window :shrug:

This is the view out of the back roller door of my shed. The window faces the other way.

Interesting rocky outcrop Bazza, it could almost be a Druid Wisdom Exchange.

Don't know anything about Druid Exchanges Cliff but it is some of the hardest Granite in the world and we have whole mountains of it here. In fact we have a mine here on the next property where they cut it out in 20 tonne loads and send it to Italy.
