Hi guys has anyone done the relative cost to build a shed.
Besser block per sq m. Or Solids
stud wall with tin cladding
stud wall with blue board
Lysaght C section steel with tin cladding steel columns all that bizzo
solid brick seems very expensive
any thought ??
You could do a strawbale shed. The a 10x6 metre shed would set you back $2000 for the straw and $3-4000 for the render. If you do a load bearing wall there is no frame.
You won't need any heating or cooling if you make if out of strawbale as long as you roof is insulated.

I just bought a second hand, timber framed, colorbond clad, shed. I decided to replace some of the timber in the roof, also I re framed the front wall, going from two roller doors to one central roller door. I was shocked at how much it cost to do this so I can see why mass produced sheds are steel framed. Unless you have access to plenty of cheap timber for the frame work, I'd say this style is an expensive method of building.
That's my experience anyway.

If you want the cheapest you won't go past a "C" section Portal frame shed with steel cladding. There are plenty of kit suppliers out there and you won't buy the materials for what you buy a kit for and that will include the design, engineering and council drawings.
Stud wall on concrete slab with weatherboards and tin roof will be about $250 sqm if you do most of the labour yourself.
Thks for the clues, the shed i'm building is 12m x 6.5 bottom level and the top level is 12m x 5m.
Anyway i'm doing a bit of the costing now and hope to kick off before xmas.
