Hi All
Does anyone know where you can get this sort of product in Melbourne?
This example comes from QLD and costs hundereds to ship down, which screws up the price. I have found one similar one in Melbourne but it was more expensive that this version including the shipping!!
Any ideas? Otherwise I will have to either use standard pine panelling or make my own mdf version with a router.

OB, Bunnings has a brand called Easycraft (I think), it's a HMR MDF wall panelling, t&g edges (uses a plastic tongue). VJ & regency profiles.
Can't remember pricing.

I have tried a number of the board manufacturers listed above and you'd be surprised how many don't even know the product exists! Others will make it ... for a fee.
Easycraft is also from QLD and my Bunnings don't actually stock it, so the order in price is just as bad.
There must be a lot more use of this panneling in old qld houses??

Try Laminex Industries on 132 136.
They sell an MDF sheet with V grooves at about 100mm centres.
Sheet size is 2400x1200. Not sure if you can get longer sizes.
If you want something custom made, try contacting a vinyl door manufacturer. They have overhead CNC routers for doing such work. A few to try in Melbourne would be:

try the Australian moulding co. out at Bayswater Nth on 97615456 or online at www.australianmoulding.com . They have the regency profile online but my experiance tells me they are the ones to try with helpfull staff fair prices and good turnaround times! :2tsup:

For a final update, I ended up doing it myself. I have used the normal pine lining before and it was no harder to rout all the grooves in the MDF sheet once I had set up a good template. It was also significantly cheaper and I wont have issues with joins opening and closing with the weather.

I know that I've missed the boat, but just a mention that you can get a VJ sheet called HardiGroove. I don't know how the price compares to MDF, but I'd imagine that most hardwares could get it in pretty easily since it comes from Hardies.
