Im about to finish my undercover decks and am thinking about what to finish them with. I like the look and price of oil but not real keen on having to maintain them every 6 months. So I was thinking about using sikkens problem being the cost and the inability of anyone to give me some expectations of how long this will last b4 I have to reapply it. Ive also heard that to reapply sikkens you have to sand it back while with reapplying oil all you have to do is wash it. any thoughts?

I embarked on a test of handrail finishes a year ago, using 3 coats of Sikkens

single-pack finish for my handrail).
Translating this experience to your deck (which you said is covered), I
seriously doubt that 3 coats of HLS would really be much better than oil.
The word these days seems to favor the acryllic "Spa-n-Deck" product by
Flood. My deck has Feast-Watson oil, and now I *really* wish I had used
Spa-n-Deck.
