Concrete Cleaner

Has anyone used an aussie product called "Liquid Hammer", I have used acid based cleaners in the past but found that upon some applications it does more harm than good, so this product seems to fit the bill except for the
price $$$ Ouch!, Nothing worse than buying an expensive product only to find that It doesn't work,Hopefully someone has tried it and can comment on It's effectiveness, failing that has anyone an old formular that they would like to share? ie: lemon juice and baking soda!.

Years ago I used to use a product made by Castrol called "MOP"
swab the floor with kero then apply mop while wet and it soaks all oil out of the concrete.

I have tried the commercial brands of 'wet and forget', '30 seconds' etc etc with out satisfactory results.
What I *DID* find very good was 'Tergostrip', a commercial paint stripper used occasionally on furniture. It is magic for getting those tyre tracks left by 'boy racers' off my driveway.
At NZD$10.00 per litre I do not consider it overly expensive and it washes away easily. A litre removes a 20 yard skid mark completely.
It is not left on the concrete long enough to do any harm to the cement itself, leaves a bright clean spot which the S.O. demands I waterblast the rest of the driveway to match:((.

hi, have used hammer - is not a cleaner but a concrete 'disolver' - I use on moulds, and not so impresed with it, but others in concrete for a long time rave about it, it is non corrosive, and with repeated applications surley removes concrete.....I would be interested to hear of an effective harmless cheap cleaner also.........

I received an email recently from a friend that compared the health benefits of drinking water to what Coke can do. It reportedly can clean stains from toilets, grease from truck engines and clean up roads following accidents. Don't know if the article was serious but it bagged Coke because of the acid content. Maybe it is worth a try. It's not expensive especially when on as a special.

We use to use Coca Cola to clean out feeding tubes that patients had inserted into their stomachs in hospital. Worked great for that. Cleans em up like new :oo:
