Fax off!!!
try that setting:D :p
My fax has a "block number facility".
When the Number appears on the screen it automaticly hangs up.
But for private numbers it doesn't hang up.(junk fax still gets through)
I got mad enough with one the other day that I faxed back the number that they had listed to get taken of their contact list.
The fax wouldn't go through.......no answer
Mate of mine has this problem - Telstra is the culprit - they sell these B*m-W*p*s your fax number as a guaranteed live customer with a fax, then you get a steady stream of cr*p - they even sell them a service to to speed up the process of bulk dialing the numbers & forwarding the fax if your line is busy.
Telstra has the gall to demand a additional fee because they will list you as a buisness in the Yellow & White Pages, then demand an additional fee to have you taken off the list they sell to spammers. So much for anti-spamming legislation in Australia - it only applies to computers, not to live telemarketers or fax spammers.
Some years ago in the US, one of the states was proposing to ban spam faxes - some companies sending multi hundred page catalogs. The spam fax industry organised a fax in protest & jammed all the legislators & the state govenors fax machines for a couple of weeks. Strangely, the legislation was quickly passed there and taken up by several other states immediately.
The biggest spam fax ripoff is to target companies with 1800 numbers on their faxes as well as spammers ringing 1800 numbers to speak to the manager.
