I have recently painted my Timber house and while I had the Scaffolding, repositioned my TV Antenna and it now lies parallel to the roof gable. As the Magpies perch there they now spoil my roofline with their spoils.. I did have the foresight to tie fishing line in a criss cross pattern between the cross bars of the antenna but this seems to be no deterrent.. HELP!
Must be one hell of a TV antenna! I figure 18 Magpies at about 90 kg each is close enough to two tonne! As for them crapping on your roof, well that's Collingwood for you! ;) (Getting their own back I guess - they gor crapped on!)
Now you tell me - we have just bought a place up your way:eek:
Ah well, small price to pay for escaping the rat race.
When I had my 2 way satellite installed the installer got several heavy gauge cable ties and cut them off to a sharp point and fixed them to the cable that was sitting up in the air with the points sitting upwards.
I asked him what they were for and he said to keep the birds off. So I promptly got some off him and fixed them to the TV antenna and it did the trick.
