The Secret Of Marriage

A couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary are being interviewed by a local newspaper.. It is well known in the community that there has never been an angry word between the two and that all is chocolates and roses between them. As the wife is making a cuppa the journalist asks about the secret of the success of their marriage.. the elderly man replies..

"It all started on our Honeymoon we had enough money saved so we went to America. While there we visited the Grand Canyon and having the time took the trip to the base of the canyon on mules.. It was a hot day and the mules were getting on a bit in years and on the way down my wifes mule stumbled jolting my wife "Thats once" she told the mule and we carried on,
later the mule walked slightly to close to the wall of the canyon and my wifes leg brushed the rocks "That`s twice" she commented then just as we reached the base of the canyon the mules footing was not what it could have been jolting my wife once more, dismounting she walked up to the mules head looked it in the eyes and said "That`s thrice" she then pulled out a gun and shot the poor animal dead...

I was astounded and was telling her that this poor animal hardly waranted that sort of treatment when she just looked at me and calmly stated "That`s once!" .. And that is the secret of our marriage
