G'day all just thought I'd post a couple of shots of our extension to the house.
We're well underway and the builders reckon two weeks will see the bulk of the work finished.

A couple more.
Looking good Shedhand. be good to see the finished product.:)
The extension looks awfully close to your shed, Mike. Will you be insulating the extension for noise? Hope everything goes smoothly, so you can get back to "playing" in your new shed.
A happy wife = A happy life:)

You won't know who you are what with a new (big) shed and larger house,
As you're such a Royalist I wonder if you have thought about getting Chukka and Camilla to officially declare the shed open?
Harry is over here soon and will be doing the State rounds, I'm sure for a couple of lines and some feminine companionship he'd be up for an opening ceremony.
G'day Pat. The extension is 5m from the garage end of the shed. My workshop is the farthest from the house. The house will be clad with sound deadening Shadowclad and wool batts. The windows and doors are all ComfortPlus 6.8mm grey tinted glass which Pilkington ACI claim is as good as double glazing for sound, UV and insulation. Still managing a little time in the shed even though its related to the extension. Wife getting happier. ;) :DQuote:

Are they embedded in concrete or bolted on to the concrete?
Are they the adjustable height ones (like this http://www.bluescopesteel.com.au/go/...saght-uni-pier)?
Any comments on them?
G'day Sheddy
The extension is coming along nicely. Like your nice big shed
Not uni-piers but if i'd known about them I would have used them (saved time making bra ckets and bases. Mine are welded to plates cast into the concrete footing.Quote:

First bit of bad news today. Not unexpected. the doors and windows which were promised for delivery tomorrow won't be here until Monday (doors) and Wednesday (windows).
Order the ColourBond Orb today and it will be delivered on Tuesday.
All in all progress is satisfactory and I'm doing lots myself. Worked 3 days alone which saves me 400 bucks a day in wages for the subbies. (They don't mind because they can see I kn9w what I'm doing.)
Architect came today and was pleased with progress.
Enjoy the pics.
Cheers ;):)
