Retunr to Hawaii

Janet and I had the pleasure of staying with our American friends in Hawaii during 2004. This friendship started in 1983 when we were touring the American SW and pulled into a gas station in the dessert. Ron was driving a truck and was in need of quick service at the pump so I told him to go first and whilst he was filling his tank I conversed with his wife Pat. The lady said they were visiting England 4 weeks later and we invited them to visit us at our home during their tour of England.
Since that day in 1983 we have had invitations to stay in Durango, Colorado and then when they retired to Hawaii we have again made visits. So my recommendation when entering a filling station is not always to insist on being the first to get service at a pump but use your free time to chat!!!.
