It's Too Bloody Hot!

So I'm spending the day inside, in front of the TV and computer with the air conditioner blasting away.
From all reports it's 40+ all over Victoria today.

What shall we do then ?

Chess ? Checkers ? Ping pong ? A good healthy debate to while away the hours ?

One question though. Who was the idiot who changed the Aus Open tennis to this time of the year. It used to be around November didn't it ? That just doesn't make any sense. I feel sorry for them out there today, not to mention the fact that it's dangerous! Somebody will end up in hospital. :(

Oh well, I'll sit here and keep an eye on the adjacent national park. It's just the sort of day some clown will set it alight.:mad:

Otherwise I might have to spend some time talking to the wife :rolleyes: Although she's out in the spa at the moment. I'd go and join her but it's only an 8 seater so there's no room for anybody else. :eek:

You Mexicans are worse than the poms when it comes to whingeing; you could always move to Darwin, where if never gets above about 37°, or to more equable climes in SE Queensland. But no, you must have your culture. When I hear the word culture, I reach for my gun. Wait, I don't own a gun:)

P (23° and admittedly with a few light showers, but clearing later - gosh I love summer here ... it's just like winter. :D :D :D )

I'm officially hi-jacking Gumbys' thread as I walk past the computer going out the door with another load of gear for Casino, will check back later to see if it works.
So here it is "Peter & othetr luminaries here" which ceiling height is better for cooling a house in this general area relative to the equator & why?
This is a serious question that I am currently pondering:o .

Not sure of the theory:confused: but surely the higher the better, gives the hot air somewhere to rise, while keeping your head out of the heat.:D

The reverse is true for winter.

It is possible to make an accurate computation of the temperature of Heaven using a physical law called Stephens Law - This follows from data available in the bible.

Therefore, as 444.6 is much less than 525.0, we are forced to conclude, by Physical and Biblical data, that Heaven is Hotter than Hell;)
