Ruben here. I'm currently based in Sydney, originally from Wattamolla (eastern end of Kangaroo Valley). I am primarily a woodturner but branching out into other aspects of the craft.
I operate a portable bandsaw mill on our farm down there and have a focus on some of our niche local illawarra species. Currently milling a lot of Brown Barrel (Eucalyptus fastigata) and Blackwood (A. melanoxylon). I'm actively engaged in agroforesty, establishing mixed cabinet timber species plantings on the farm, most of which grown from seed that I collect locally.
All round big fan of trees and timber.
One question that someone might be able to help me with - for some reason I seem to get an "insufficient privileges" error when trying to open image attachments in other users' posts, any suggestions about why this might be? I have tried searching for an answer/faq but no luck and tried reaching out to the site admin through the contact form but haven't heard back? I registered this account quite a while ago, but only just getting on with posting and contributing more actively now.
