I'm Peter. New to the forum and also to woodworking. I joined a Community Men's Shed a year ago and started making pens, small bowls and lamp stands. The lamp stands are usable, small bowls are rudimentary but sound and the pens are starting to look like pens. I decided to get a bit more adventurous and attempt to build larger segmented bowls. I bought my own lathe for my garage . It's an old Dynalink 900 and I've refurbished bearings, pulleys and belts. It has a top speed of 2000 revs . I'm hoping to get some tips and advice from the Forum and in return, share my experiences and anything I've learned.
