Hello from Brissy
Hi All,
Newbie here from Brissy! Been reading on and off for a while and decided to finally join up.
I've been interested in a Woodworking for a while, taking a beginners course in Melbourne at the VWA. Living in an apartment back then, I did not have any space to start collecting tools and begin projects at home. But this has changed with a move to Queensland in late 2021. Now that I have a dual garage space, with my partner allowing me to claim one for projects!
At this stage, I have limited tools and talent, and loads of enthusiasm :U

There are a stack members around Brisbane and cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.

I'm looking at starting my first project here, and trying to find a timber supplier who stocks Tassie Oak that can be used for furniture. I tried scouring the forum so please forgive me if I missed a thread on it somewhere.
A quick google search shows loads of larger suppliers but I was hoping to find a smaller suppliers that people would recommend :U
