I switched it on about half way through. I will reserve my opinion on it until I have seen a couple more episodes.
I rather liked it as a portrayal of how varied and different the skills and ideas of people with an interest in things woody might go about things.
Perhaps not quite the equivalent of The Great British Bakeoff with sawdust, but another reality program with an aim to more entertain rather than inform. I think it succeeded. I liked seeing the variety of designs they came up with given a specific challenge and how design and execution don't always meet expectation. I've been there.
I'll watch it again.
My wife spotted it just at the right time and I saw all but the introductions. I enjoyed it, maybe because it was at least interesting to me, unlike most of the reality elimination series. The contestants are an interesting mix of dreamers, artistics and crafters. They don't seem to have a down-to-earth practical tradie type, but then they might find it difficult to attract someone like that to a show like this. I think I might enjoy the basic skill challenges more than their main projects.
The big project this week was a bed - one of the designs were to my taste, but three or four were quite well made. The basic challenge was a wood print block, which was good to see. One dreamer eliminated and all those with some woodworking skill survived! Still longing for a decent tradie.
I will be watching it again. Not expecting to learn much from it, but looking forward to laughable and cringeworthy woodcraft. Also hoping to be more entertained that I would be by Masterchef!

Watched another episode last night. Meh. :sleep1: :sleep5:
Yeah, nah . . . and way too much MDF in last nights prog.
Forgot to watch last night but from the comments above it seems that I did not miss much.
For something a bit different there was a TV series done in the UK featuring and Aussie expat David Free who I believe was mixed up teaching in the British live theatre scene IIRC. It was done many years ago and while the upload quality while not up to todays standard is still pretty good. I think the whole series is on YT.

it is called
originally called "Britain's best woodworker " it can be downloaded
at best it is more sawdust for the brain
The UK forum was talking about this when it was first shown a few months ago. I managed to track down the first episode on line. What a waste of time. Dont know how it can be called woodworking. Also such a waste of really nice wood. Never really liked reality tv and it surely is not the way to promote woodworking. I could not suffer another episode. Kind of thing you could show to the inmates of a reeducation camp.
