Assistance re restore an 'artisan' front door (seaside)

G'day all

I have a regular client who has a magnificent large heavy pivot door, purchased from an 'artisan door maker' some years ago.
This door is quite something. Multi timber, multi coloured, multi layered. Multi heavy!
Prior to protecting this door from the near beachside elements, the outer parts of the door are in serious need of repair. See photos of internal v external condition.

I see paint stripping in my near future!

So, my questions are,
Which product wood colours do you suggest?
What do you suggest I clear coat it with? It looks like the original is poly.
What should I have asked, but didn't?

This door is solid timber/heavy. It's gunna take 2 people to move at all times.

If you go on you tube and look under "Wood Whisperer" there is a video on protecting an outdoor setting [as best I can recall he is in dessert conditions with snow in winter and baking summer so outdoor furniture is going to take a pounding]. Basically he epoxies and then puts a UV resistant finish over the epoxy. If this sounds like what would work for you and you can't find the clip send me a PM and I'll see if I can dig it out for you

Temperature swings here give me shade from -30C to +45C.
There are 2 adequate finishes:
1. A single pot of Behr "Rawhide" finish. Some sort of UV inhibiting varnish.
Maybe quite orange but over western red cedar, nothing to be seen. Worked on a sunlit door for 20+ years for me.

2. Sikkens Cetol. It's a 2-part mix. Nasty, gagging, revolting, evil smelling brew. An orange cast that I don't care for.
But when you drop $20,000,000 on a western cedar log home, you have to do something.
If you can afford the house, you can afford the Cetol. Sooner or later, that's what you buy.
