Advice to the boys

My boys are now 45 and 47. The advice that I gave them about the time that they started to drive was:

You can call us anytime day of night and we will be there as soon as we can to help you. There is one exception, don't call us from jail. Don't waste your phone call on us. If you got yourself into jail you can get yourself out.

Good advice there. Of course, the corollary is that once, just once after they first get their licence, you can ask your child to take you there and pick you up at any hour, while you have as many drinks as you like.:D

I call it setting the right example.

I have a huge problem with that. SWMBO gets very very PO'd when my youngest gets me way too drunk. His GF then drives him and I home.

He has been trained well!! As has his GF.
