Mat EEE is a finisher not a finish , You are able to put most any finish over the top of EEE as long as you have worked it properly and cleaned of any excess.
I'm wondering why you'd bother ? EEE is a polish which will bring up a brilliant shine. Wax is more of a sheen.
Why would you polish it, then dull it down again? Why not just use the wax in the first place? Then again, I don't pretend to be an expert on this and am happy to be corrected.
I'm very confused about EEE. It has a microscopic abrasive in it, which is supposed to work like a 12,000 grit, as well as a wax (?), and is supposed to be buffed with a swansdown mop. I'm with Gumby, why do anything over the top of all that?
thanks for your thoughts. I am not looking at EEE as a base finish. I am thinking of a scenario where you might use a poly finish and then use EEE.
Should that be the end of it or is an additional coating of traditional wax worthwhile.
I guess I am thinking of a parrallel with a cut and polish of car duco and then you may follow this with a normal wax/polish.

I'd strongly suggest you order Neil's Polisher's Handbook and read up on all sorts of different finishes. It will answer most of your questions. It';s a matter of trial and error as well, to see what you prefer as a finish. Just remember what the item is going to be used for before deciding. Poly etc is great where there will be hard wear and water like a bench top. A small jewellery box looks great just using wax or try shellac and EEE for a high gloss finish.
I'd buy a bit of everything and have a play. (Neil, please send my commission as usual :D :D :D )
