Seal around sash frame?

Hi,

Im in the process of repairing/restoring some sash windows and wanted to find out what the best way is to seal the gap between the frame and external brick work.

The gap is between 10-15 mm and was originally sealed with mortar/plaster and painted. Problem is its all cracked. I have completely removed it from one frame and would like to seal it with something flexible.

Any ideas what the best product would be?
