Please Check My Order Of Work

Hi Guys,
Long time listener, first time caller (I think...hmmm maybe I did post once ages ago). I'm lucky enough to have been made redundant recently so I've finally got some time to work on my house and some money to do it. Problem is I am not sure if I am tackling things in the right order. I am going to be doing bathrooms and kitchens and all that fun stuff but to begin with I am replacing all my skirting and arcs along with repainting all interior walls and replacing carpets. I'd like to ask the good people here to set me straight about my order of works if that's alright.

I don't really have the skills to do the installation of the skirts and arcs myself so I figured I'd just do as much prep as I can then help out whoever ends up doing the work for me so I can learn along the way and maybe have a go next time. So here's the order I was thinking:

1. Remove all skirts and arcs
2. Paint walls (I know they will get banged around a bit with the re-instillation but figured it would be a lot less fiddly and give a better result if I can paint under where the skirts and arcs will go then just touch up later on)
3. Paint window and door frames (again before the arcs and skirt get installed for the same reason above)
4. Remove carpets
5. Get a chippy to install new skirts and arcs
6. Paint new skirts and arcs
7. Get new carpets laid
8. Touch up paint.

Should I maybe switch painting and installing the skirts and arc so I paint them before they get installed and touch them up as well or am I just asking for trouble?
