G`DAY EVERYONE
I put a posting on the other day and dont think i made my self
very clear..
Im looking for some help.From someone that might know
where i can find the heat resistant board/panel.That has to go behind
my splashback in the kitchen behind the stove.most place`s I have rang
want me to bye a sheet 1200 x 1200 .Thats crazy. All i need is 1000 x 250
a off cut.So any one that might know of a place.
please let me know.

You don't need special panel, ordinary Laminex will do. We have a ceran cooktop with a Laminex splashback. The splash back must be a minimum distance from the cooktop - ours is 50mm from the cooktop & 90mm from the edge of the nearest element.
We have had this 2 years and no problems whatsoever.
The laminex is glued to 20mm chipboard to provide rigidity.

laminate on board is ok but i have found that lamipanel is just as good but has the added advantage of being only 4 mm thick,i would suggest to ring some of the major bathroom renovation companies in your area tell them your requirements and they will no doubt have an offcut the size you need
